§ 21731 Exempt Livestock Market Entities

Key Takeaways

  • •Some places don't need a special license to sell animals.
  • •These places include big animal markets watched by the government, fairs, and kids' farm clubs like 4-H.
  • •If a group sells special cattle for its members, they also don’t need the license.

Example

A local 4-H club sells cows at their yearly fair.

The club doesn’t need a license to sell the cows because they are a 4-H club, and the law says they are exempt.
