§ 20795 Brand Conflict Investigation Request

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone else's cows have a brand that looks too much like yours, you can ask for help.
  • •The person in charge will check if the other brand is confusing or too similar to yours.
  • •This is only for cows that have been officially recorded with a brand.

Example

You own a ranch and brand your cows with a special symbol. One day, you see another ranch using a symbol that looks almost the same as yours.

You can ask the chief to look into it and see if the other symbol is too similar and might cause confusion.
