§ 20796 Brand Approval For Cattle

Key Takeaways

  • •If the boss (chief) finds a problem after checking, they can make you change your cattle's brand.
  • •You have to use a new brand that the boss approves and is officially recorded.
  • •This rule is only for cattle that don’t belong to the person who already owns the recorded brand.

Example

You buy cows from a neighbor, but their brand is the same as someone else’s recorded brand.

The boss might tell you to change the brand on your cows to a new one they approve so there’s no mix-up.
