Imagine two farmers have brands for their cattle. One farmer has a brand that looks like a circle with a line through it, and another farmer has a brand that looks like a circle with a line through it but slightly tilted. People can't tell the difference between the two brands.

The chief will check which brand was officially recorded first. The farmer with the older brand gets to keep using it. The other farmer's brand will be canceled because it's too similar and confusing.
