§ 19403 Horsemeat And Pet Food Records

Key Takeaways

  • •If you sell or make horsemeat or pet food, you must keep records about it.
  • •You can't say no if someone official wants to check those records.
  • •If you don't keep records or refuse to show them, you're breaking the law.

Example

You own a store that sells pet food.

You must write down where the pet food comes from and where it goes. If a government worker asks to see these notes, you have to show them. If you don’t keep the notes or refuse to show them, you can get in trouble.
