§ 11763 Report Of Loss Requirements

This law says that when you file a verified report about a loss, damage, or someone not doing their job, you must include specific details about yourself, the property, the date, the pest control company, and the property owner.

Key Takeaways

  • •You must give your full name and where you live.
  • •You must describe what property was hurt and where it is.
  • •You must say the exact date the problem happened.
  • •You must name the pest control company you think is responsible.
  • •You must include the name of the property owner or occupant who hired the pest control service.

Example

A homeowner discovers a bed bug infestation after a pest control company treated the house, and wants to report the damage to the city.

The homeowner must write a report that lists their name and address, describes the house and the rooms affected, says when the infestation was found, names the pest control company that did the work, and includes the name of the homeowner (or occupant) who hired the pest control service.
