§ 821 Property Valuation Factors

Key Takeaways

  • •When figuring out how much a property is worth, you can look at nearby properties.
  • •You can consider what improvements (like buildings or upgrades) are on those nearby properties.
  • •You can also look at how those nearby properties are being used (like homes, shops, or farms).

Example

You want to sell your house and need to decide on a fair price.

You can check out the houses around you to see if they have nice kitchens or big yards, and if they are used as homes or rentals. This helps you guess how much your house is worth.
