§ 7605 Special Election Committee Appointments

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone joins a committee because they were picked in a special election to fill an empty spot, they have to do something within 60 days.
  • •Within those 60 days, they must pick other people to be on the committee.
  • •They have to pick these people the same way that delegates to the state convention pick their people.

Example

Imagine your school's student council has an empty spot because someone moved away. The school holds a special vote to pick a new member. That new member then has to pick other kids to be on a committee within 60 days.

The new member has to choose the other committee kids the same way that representatives for the big school meeting choose their teams.
