§ 66302 Campus Anti-Bullying Policies

Key Takeaways

  • •California State University and community colleges must have clear rules against bullying, harassment, and intimidation.
  • •These rules must be easy to find, like on the school's website or in printed handbooks.
  • •The rules apply to how students should behave at school.
  • •The University of California is asked to follow these rules too, but it’s up to them to decide.

Example

A student keeps making fun of another student online, calling them names and threatening them.

The school must have rules that say this kind of bullying is not allowed. The rules should be posted on the school’s website so everyone knows bullying is against the rules.
