§ 41608 High School Attendance Funding

• •This law is about how money from the State School Fund is divided up for high schools.
• •Only students in grades 9 to 12 count when figuring out how much money a high school gets.
• •If a school has special classes (like ungraded classes) that are part of a high school, those students count too.
• •The money is based on how many students show up to school on average each day.

A high school has 500 students in grades 9 to 12 and 50 students in ungraded classes that are part of the high school.

When the state figures out how much money this high school gets, they will count all 550 students (500 from grades 9-12 and 50 from ungraded classes) to decide the amount.
