Key Takeaways

  • •The county's top school boss can hire people to help schools work together on things like classes, health, and special education.
  • •The county school board must agree before hiring these helpers.
  • •The state's top school boss makes the rules for hiring, but they must listen to a group of county school bosses first.

Example

A group of schools in the same county want to make sure all kids with reading problems get the same kind of help.

The county school boss can hire someone to help all the schools work together on this. But first, the county school board must say it's okay, and the state school boss must make rules for how to do it.
