§ 9340 Membership Resignation And Termination

Key Takeaways

  • •You can quit a club or group anytime you want.
  • •Even if you quit, you still have to pay for stuff you already used or promised to pay.
  • •If your membership has a time limit, it ends when the time is up unless you renew it.
  • •The club can kick you out if their rules say they can.

Example

You join a gym for a year and pay monthly. After 6 months, you decide to quit.

You can quit the gym anytime, but you still have to pay for the 6 months you used it. If you signed a year-long contract, you might have to pay the rest unless the gym lets you out.
