§ 7340 Membership Resignation And Obligations

Key Takeaways

  • •You can quit a club or group anytime, but you might have to give them a heads-up first.
  • •Even if you quit, you still have to pay for stuff you already used or owe money for.
  • •If your membership has a time limit, it ends when the time is up unless you renew it.

Example

You join a gym with a one-year membership and sign a contract to pay monthly.

If you quit the gym after 6 months, you still have to pay for the remaining 6 months because you signed a contract. The gym can make you pay even after you leave.
