§ 7520 Director Election Procedures

Key Takeaways

  • •Members of a group must have fair ways to pick and vote for leaders.
  • •If the group follows certain rules (Sections 7521-7524), their voting process is considered fair.
  • •Groups can also use other fair ways to pick leaders, depending on their size and type.
  • •A court can make sure these rules are followed.

Example

A small club wants to elect a new president.

The club must let all members suggest and vote for who they want as president. If they follow the rules in Sections 7521-7524, their election is fair. They can also use other fair methods if those rules don’t fit their club.
