§ 8836 Owner Lender Stop Work Notice

• •If a contractor sends a 'stop work' notice to the owner of a construction project, the owner must share this notice with the bank or lender funding the project.

The homeowner must tell the bank that gave them the loan for the house about this notice within 5 days. They can't just ignore it or wait too long. They have to follow the same rules as sending other important papers, like using mail or email as required by law.
