§ 8108 Notice Delivery Addresses

Key Takeaways

  • •If you need to send a notice about a construction project, you have to send it to the right address.
  • •For owners (not the government), send the notice to the address on their contract, building permit, or construction trust deed.
  • •For government agencies, send the notice to their office or the address they told you to use.
  • •For builders or workers, send the notice to the address on their contract, building permit, or license records.

Example

You hired a contractor to build a new room in your house, but they didn’t finish the job. You want to send them a notice about the problem.

You should send the notice to the address on the contract you signed with the contractor or the address on their building permit. This makes sure they get the notice and know about the issue.
