§ 6552 Common Interest Development Documents

Key Takeaways

  • •This law talks about the rules that control how a neighborhood or building with shared spaces (like a condo or apartment complex) is run.
  • •These rules can be in different papers, like the main rulebook, bylaws, or other official documents.
  • •The rules are there to make sure everyone knows how things should work in the shared place.

Example

You live in a condo building with a shared pool and gym.

The rules for how the pool and gym are used, who can use them, and how problems are solved are written down in the 'governing documents.' These are like the rulebook for the building.
