§ 4095 Common Area Definition

Key Takeaways

  • •Common areas are parts of a neighborhood or building that everyone shares, like parks, pools, or hallways.
  • •These shared spaces can be owned in different ways, like forever, for a set time, or as a special right to use them.
  • •In some neighborhoods, instead of owning the common areas together, people might just have special rights to use them.

Example

You live in a neighborhood with a shared park in the middle.

The park is a common area that everyone in the neighborhood can use. The rules say how this park is owned or shared, like whether everyone owns a piece of it or just has the right to use it.
