§ 2465 Podiatric Board Conflict Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If you own or have a stake in a podiatric medical school, you can't be on the board that oversees it.
  • •If you're already on the board, you can't buy or own any part of a podiatric medical school.
  • •This rule is to prevent conflicts of interest, like someone making decisions that benefit their own school.

Example

Imagine you own a school that teaches foot doctors. You can't be on the board that makes rules for foot doctor schools.

This law stops you from being on the board because you might make rules that help your own school instead of being fair to all schools.
