§ 4145 Enhanced Treatment Program Oversight

Key Takeaways

  • •The state must check on special hospital programs (ETPs) every year to see how they're doing.
  • •They look at things like how many patients stay, how long they stay, and if anyone gets hurt.
  • •They also check if patients have to wait too long to leave because there's no space in regular treatment places.
  • •The hospital must report all this info to the government every year.

Example

A patient stays in the special program for 6 months because there's no bed in a regular hospital.

The hospital must count this in their yearly report and explain why the patient had to stay so long.
