§ 14204 Health Plan Contracts Exemption

Key Takeaways

  • •The government can make deals with health plans to give people medical and dental care.
  • •These deals can be made quickly to save money, even if they skip some usual rules.
  • •Special hospitals for kids can get exclusive deals to take care of kids in certain areas.
  • •Dental plans must be updated to cover dental care for people in specific places.

Example

If you live in a certain part of town and your kid needs to see a doctor, the government might have a special deal with a nearby children's hospital just for kids in your area.

This means your kid can go to that hospital, and the government will pay for it because of the deal they made. It's like having a special pass to a specific doctor.
