§ 9363 Election Board Member Replacement

Key Takeaways

  • •If a person who is supposed to be on the election board doesn't show up when the polls open, the voters who are there can pick someone else to take their place.
  • •The person they pick must own land in the area and be allowed to vote in that election.
  • •This rule was added in 1943.

Example

Imagine it's election day, and one of the people who is supposed to help run the voting at your local school doesn't show up.

The people who are already there to vote can choose another person to help run the voting. But this person has to own land in the area and be allowed to vote in that election.
