§ 75783 Land Exclusion Petition Denial

Key Takeaways

  • •If you ask to remove land from a special district but don't show good reasons, the board can say no.
  • •The board will deny your request if they think keeping the land in the district is better for everyone.
  • •You need proof to support your request, or it will be rejected.

Example

A farmer wants to remove his land from a water district because he thinks the fees are too high.

If the farmer doesn't give good reasons or proof that removing his land is a good idea, the board can say no. They might think it's better for the whole area if his land stays in the district.
