§ 75543 Water Measurement Compliance

• •If another government group (like a county or water district) already has a water-measuring tool they like, the board can say it’s good enough for this law too.
• •The board doesn’t have to make new rules if the other group’s tool works fine.
• •This only applies if the other group’s area is mostly the same as the district’s area.

A county already uses a special meter to measure how much water farmers use. The water district in that county can decide to use the same meter instead of making farmers buy a new one.

The board can say, 'The county’s meter is good enough for us too,' so farmers don’t have to deal with two different meters.
