§ 75540 Groundwater Charge Zones

• •Before charging for groundwater, the board must set up zones where the charge applies.
• •Zones can be changed later, but only in the way described in Chapter 3 of the law.
• •A zone can cover the whole area or just parts of it.

A town wants to charge people for using groundwater.

First, the town must decide which neighborhoods (zones) will have to pay. They can change these zones later, but only by following the rules in Chapter 3.
