§ 2600 Water Rights Claim Report

Key Takeaways

  • •After checking all the water use and claims, the board writes a report.
  • •The report explains how much water there is and who says they have a right to use it.
  • •This happens only after everyone has had a chance to say they need water.

Example

Imagine a town where farmers and houses all use water from the same river.

The board checks how much water is in the river and who is using it. Then they write a report saying, 'This farmer says they need water for crops, and this house says they need water for drinking.'
