§ 22086 Watermaster Control Notices

Key Takeaways

  • •The watermaster can put a sign on a water gate or dam to show they are in control of it.
  • •The sign must have the date and the watermaster's signature.
  • •This only happens when the watermaster is doing their job to manage water.

Example

A watermaster adjusts a gate at a local dam to control water flow to farms.

After adjusting the gate, the watermaster puts up a signed and dated notice to show they are now in charge of that gate. This lets everyone know not to touch it.
