§ 13837 Health Services Project Contracts

Key Takeaways

  • •The state health department must approve a supplier's project plans before any contract can be signed.
  • •The supplier must have a valid permit or an updated permit to get the contract.
  • •The contract is only given after both the plans are approved and the permit is issued.

Example

A company wants to build a new water treatment plant.

The company must first get its building plans approved by the state health department and also have the right permit. Only then can the state sign a contract with them to start the project.
