§ 13526 Recycled Water Use Violation

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't use recycled water for things that don't follow the rules.
  • •If the water board tells you in writing that you're breaking the rules, you have to stop.
  • •If you keep doing it after being warned, you can get in trouble with the law.

Example

A farmer uses recycled water to grow food, but the water board says it's not clean enough for that.

The farmer gets a letter saying to stop, but keeps using the water. This is breaking the law, and the farmer can be punished.
