§ 13262 Enforcing Water Quality Orders

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone breaks the rules in Section 13260, the Attorney General can ask a court to make them stop.
  • •The court can order them to stop right away (temporary) or forever (permanent).
  • •This is only done if the state or regional board asks for it.

Example

A factory keeps dumping dirty water into a river, even though it's against the rules.
