This law says small farm water suppliers don't have to follow certain rules unless they get extra money to do it.

Key Takeaways

  • •Small farm water suppliers (serving less than 25,000 acres) don't have to follow some water rules.
  • •They only have to follow the rules if they get special money to help.
  • •This doesn't apply to water suppliers that use recycled water.

Example

A small farm in California gets water from a local supplier that only serves 20,000 acres of farmland.

This water supplier doesn't have to follow the usual water rules unless the government gives them money to help pay for it.
