§ 2466 Inspection Of Rendering Premises

This law lets police or certain state workers check businesses that handle used cooking oil or animal parts to make sure they're keeping the right records.

Key Takeaways

  • •This is about checking businesses that deal with used cooking oil or animal parts.
  • •The checks can only happen during normal work hours.
  • •They're just making sure the business is keeping good records, not looking for other problems.

Example

A restaurant sells its used cooking oil to a company that turns it into biofuel.

The police can visit the company during work hours to check if they're writing down where the oil came from and where it's going, like the law says.
