§ 90790 District-City Agreement Approval

Key Takeaways

  • •The deal between the district and the city only starts when both sides agree the right way.
  • •The district's leaders must write down the whole deal and say they want to do it.
  • •This rule was added to the books in 1965.

Example

A city and a school district want to share a park for kids to play in.

They write down all the rules about who pays for what and who takes care of the park. The school board must then say, 'Yes, we want to do this,' and follow all the steps in the law. Only then does the deal really start.
