§ 30258 District Professional Services Contracts

Key Takeaways

  • •The school board can hire outside experts if the job is too hard for their usual workers.
  • •They can only do this if they think their own team can't do the job well enough.
  • •This is for special work or services the school district needs.

Example

The school's roof is leaking, and the usual school workers don't know how to fix it.

The school board can hire a roofing company to fix the leak because their own workers can't do it properly.
