§ 30219 District Board Appointment Process

• •The city selection committee picks the first board members for the district.
• •They have to pick the number of members decided earlier in Section 30201.
• •They must finish picking all members within 10 days after the first meeting called by the Secretary of State.

Imagine your school needs to pick a new student council.

The teachers (like the city selection committee) have to choose the first group of students (board members) for the council. They have to pick the exact number they decided on before, and they have to do it within 10 days after the principal (Secretary of State) calls the first meeting.
