§ 29674 Special Service District Approval

Key Takeaways

  • •If no one complains or if complaints are rejected, the board can create a special service district.
  • •The board will then call for an election about it.
  • •This is part of a process to make sure people in the area agree with the new district.

Example

A neighborhood wants a new park, so the board plans to create a special district to fund it.

If no one objects or if the board says no to the objections, they will approve the new district and set up a vote for everyone in the neighborhood.
