Key Takeaways

  • •If the district owns land in San Mateo County with its buildings or equipment on it, it can decide to officially add that land to the district.
  • •The district leaders must agree that adding the land is a good idea for the district.
  • •Once they vote and make it official with a resolution, the land is immediately part of the district.

Example

Imagine the district owns a piece of land with a water treatment plant on it, but that land isn’t officially part of the district yet.
