AI SummaryVerified

§ 28862 Collective Bargaining Agreement Protection

Key Takeaways

  • •This law does not override any existing agreements between employers and worker groups made before January 1, 2021.
  • •If there’s a conflict, the law should match how similar rules are understood by the Public Employment Relations Board.
  • •New rules won’t cancel out old deals between bosses and workers.

Example

A school district and its teachers’ union had a contract in 2019 about work hours.

This law won’t change that contract. The old agreement stays as it is, even if this law says something different.
