§ 27507 District Property Transfer Rules

• •If the district is shut down, has no transit services, and covers more than one city, its property goes to the county where most of the district is located.
• •The property goes to the city or county automatically—no need for extra steps.

A small town has a special water district that covers the exact same area as the town. The town decides to shut down the water district.

All the water district's property, like pipes and buildings, now belongs to the town.
