§ 13856 Annexation Agreement Execution

Key Takeaways

  • •If most voters say yes to a proposal, the government must write it down in their official notes.
  • •After writing it down, they have to sign the papers to make the annexation (adding land) official.
  • •This is about making sure the government follows through when voters agree to something.

Example

A small town votes on whether to join a bigger nearby city.

If most people in the town vote yes, the town leaders must write it in their meeting notes and then sign the papers to make the town part of the bigger city.
