§ 11909 Board Voting Requirements

• •The board makes decisions by voting on motions, resolutions, or ordinances.
• •For a five-ward district, at least three directors must vote 'yes' for it to pass.
• •For a seven-ward district, at least four directors must vote 'yes' for it to pass.
• •If not enough directors vote 'yes', the decision doesn’t count.

A small town with five areas wants to build a new park. The board votes on it.

If only two board members vote 'yes', the park won’t be built because they need at least three 'yes' votes.
