§ 100018 Vta Revenue Sources

This law explains what kinds of money the VTA can count as its revenue.

Key Takeaways

  • •Revenue includes all money the VTA actually gets or is owed.
  • •It covers fares, tolls, rentals, interest, profits from selling securities, and any money from VTA‑owned property.
  • •The definition is broad so almost any income related to VTA operations counts.

Example

The VTA runs a bus line and collects fares from riders, and it also earns interest on money it has saved in a bank account.

Both the bus fares and the bank interest are counted as VTA revenue under this law.
