§ 30256 Transit Facility Regulation Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The board is in charge of all transit facilities (like buses, trains) owned by the district.
  • •They decide how much you pay to ride (fares, rentals, etc.).
  • •They make and enforce rules for how the transit system works.
  • •They also handle contracts and schedules for the transit system.

Example

You take the bus to school every day.

The board decides how much your bus pass costs and what time the bus comes. If they change the bus schedule, that’s them doing their job.
