§ 281 Naval Militia Unit Definitions

This law tells us how to understand the words 'Division', 'company', and 'Battalion' when they are used in the rules for the Naval Militia, matching the way those words are used in the National Guard infantry.

Key Takeaways

  • •The law defines how certain words are used in the Naval Militia.
  • •Those words are given the same meaning as they have in the National Guard infantry.
  • •This makes the rules consistent between the two groups.

Example

A Naval Militia unit is called a 'company'.

Because of this law, that 'company' is treated the same as a 'company' in the National Guard infantry, so the same rules that apply to a National Guard company also apply to the Naval Militia company.
