§ 864 Agricultural Wage Order Updates

• •This law makes sure farm workers get the same or better pay and work rules as other workers.
• •If the old rules for farm workers were better, those old rules stay in place.
• •The government has to update the rules to match this law, but can't take away better protections farm workers already had.

A farm worker used to get a longer break than other workers under the old rules.

Even if the new law says breaks can be shorter, the farm worker still gets the longer break because the old rule was better for them.
