§ 3718 Uninsured Employers Fund Actions

Key Takeaways

  • •If an employer breaks the rules in Sections 3717 or 3722, they can be sued in one case, not separate ones.
  • •Any money the employer has to pay goes to the State Treasury, specifically to the Uninsured Employers Fund.
  • •This law helps the state collect money from employers who don’t follow the rules.

Example

A worker gets hurt on the job, and their boss didn’t have the right insurance.

The worker can sue the boss for breaking the rules, and any money the boss has to pay goes to the state’s Uninsured Employers Fund, not directly to the worker.
