§ 51636 Insurance Fund Exemption Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •This law says a special insurance fund doesn't have to follow most of the usual rules that other state groups do.
  • •The fund only has to follow a rule if the rule specifically mentions this fund by name.
  • •This law was added in 1993 and started working on July 15, 1993.

Example

Imagine a school has a special lunch program that doesn't have to follow the same rules as other school programs.

This insurance fund is like that special lunch program. It doesn't have to follow most of the usual state rules unless a rule specifically says it applies to this fund.
