§ 50834 Economic Development Grant Access

Key Takeaways

  • •The government must help people apply for money to grow businesses by giving clear instructions and quick responses.
  • •Once a project is approved, the money should be given out fast.
  • •If a city or county gets money back from a loan, they must use it for another allowed project.
  • •The government checks if the rules were followed before allowing the money to be reused.

Example

A small town gets money to build a new park. Later, the town gets some of that money back from a loan they gave to a local business.

The town can use the paid-back money for another project, like fixing roads, but only if they followed the rules in their original agreement with the government.
