§ 41350 Antelope Valley Staff Appointments

Key Takeaways

  • •The Antelope Valley board must hire people to do their work.
  • •The board picks one person (called an APCO) to be the boss of the staff.
  • •The APCO follows the rules and plans set by the board.

Example

Imagine a school where the principal hires teachers and janitors to keep the school running.

The Antelope Valley board is like the principal—they hire workers and pick one main boss (the APCO) to manage everyone. The APCO has to follow the board’s rules, just like a principal’s assistant follows the principal’s decisions.
