§ 39691 Drayage Truck Compliance Reports

Key Takeaways

  • •Anyone can tell the state if a truck company lies about following the rules or breaks them.
  • •You need proof if you report a truck company for lying or breaking rules.
  • •The state keeps records of truck companies' promises to follow the rules for as long as they own the truck.

Example

A neighbor sees a truck company dumping dirty oil in a river instead of disposing of it properly.

The neighbor can tell the state about it, but they need to show proof, like a photo or video. The state will check the report and keep records of the company's promises to follow the rules.
